Speaking Engagements
BMC Associates provides speakers to families in business,
business partners and the professionals that serve them. Our subjects all focus
on methods of preventing and resolving business conflict. The Speakers program
is led by Dr. David Gage, a principal of BMC and a nationally-recognized expert
on business mediation and collaboration. All BMC speakers
are active practitioners in business mediation and conflict prevention.

Upcoming Presentations
David Gage will be co-instructor for this Continuing Professional Education program for CPAs. Succession is one of the most complex issues facing entrepreneurs. Business owners are frequently passing their companies to more than one person - partners, children, key employees - and for many, it goes painfully awry. Some owners wishing to pass on their companies never get the full value out of their companies because they fail to plan carefully. This seminar will focus on ownership and management transitions in family and non-family businesses.
Recent Presentations
David Gage spoke at this American Institute of
CPAs conference. He addressed the family dynamics that come to the
foreground when family land decisions are at hand, how parents – with
the best of intentions – create “accidental partners” among
children when transferring land to them, what families can do to lessen
the likelihood of future conflict and what adult siblings in “accidental
partnerships” in real estate can do to diminish their risk.
