Facilitation

Ownership groups, management teams and others often have a need for professional facilitation of meetings. At times, the impetus comes from a conflict that has made effective discussion of an issue on their own exceedingly difficult. This calls for a special form of conflict-resolving facilitation: that is mediation. But there are a wide range of other circumstances when expert facilitation can offer great benefits.

Family Councils and Meetings

Family businesses usually involve a broad range of family members including owners, managers, and employees. Meetings of management, of a Board of Directors, and of Shareholders can bring these principals together.

But beyond those directly involved, there are also their grandparents, parents, spouses, siblings, children, grandchildren, significant others, and more. The latter may have no formal role in the business, but they often feel a great need for information and involvement. A Family Council can meet this need – strengthening the family and the business.

Coaching

Coaching is an important tool in optimizing family business and partnership relationships. It complements and enhances BMC Associates’ mediation and Partnership Charter services.
